The original BRAKE line up consisted of brothers Koorosh Leibowitz (drums) and Brandon Leibowitz (lead guitar), who are both Glen Cove natives, and their friend Jake Levine (vocals & rhythm guitar) of Plainview. The trio recorded various singles in 2020 and their freshman studio album entitled Breakfast in 2021, releasing it in Spring 2022. In Summer 2023, Nick Reip of Massapequa joined the band to play bass. Since then, the band has played various venues across Nassau and Suffolk County. The band covers music across all decades and genres, from classic rock, blues, funk, to more modern alternative rock. In between covers, the band performs their original music, including fan favorite and hit single Bacon Egg and Cheese.

Ray Lambiase & the Acoustic Tin Kickers

July 31

Ray Lambiase is a veteran New York singer-songwriter, who has just released his sixth full length CD, Perfume Like a Full Moon.  Featuring ten new original songs, the album is his most personal and reflective collection to date.  His previous well-received releases include The Road Ahead, Kid Bayonne and The Ballad of Three Finger Brown, whose title track has become a staple of college radio at the start of each baseball season.

He also performs acoustically with two members of his band The Tin Kickers, featuring the three-part harmonies of Kate Corrigan on vocals, and Lanny Sichel on vocals and acoustic lead guitar. Ray, Kate and Lanny have been singing and performing together for more than fifty years.

Ray began writing and performing his own songs as a teenager on Long Island.  After traveling the college coffeehouse circuit in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, he formed his first band and released his first recording. That early vinyl single, Slow Dance Romeo received significant local radio airplay and led to publishing contracts with Nashville’s Combine Music and Bob Dylan’s Special Rider Music publishing arm in New York City.

He has performed in concert with Steve Forbert, Suzanne Vega, Eric Anderson, Graham Parker, Marshall Crenshaw and many others.
