The women of the Glen Cove community make up the majority of our member base. Most of them full time mothers, full time workers, and both at the same time! We have nurses that take class after all night shifts and we are so inspired by the strength that they portray day in and day out! We know that they dedicate their only free hour of the day to becoming the strongest versions of themselves. Our business is woman owned and the manager is also a full time worker and mother!

The Regency
The Regency Senior Living is proud to have a very STRONG WOMAN workforce from many different backgrounds. We have 12 sets of family members that work at The Regency.
The picture is a snapshot of a few amazing staff members from the 100-person team. The team is led by Executive Director, Stella Shank, who will be celebrating 30 years working at The Regency next month.
One resident posed in the picture with team before she went to a Regency concert: Lois Stemcosky who worked in Glen Cove City Hall for 50 years! Way to go Lois, as you and so many other residents led the way for strong women working generations to come!

Level Up Glen Cove
Empowering a community, make the community stronger, healthier and happier. At Level Up we do this every day. Owner Nicole Helmus wants to celebrate the women in the community and her fabulous instructors who are passionate about health and wellness. They give their all and they motivate and inspire everyone in their classes.
Cassie is certified instructor who also has a master’s degree in school counseling. She used to compete in gymnastics as a child. Her favorite quote is “what seems impossible today will one day become your warm up.”
Lorraine teaches Pilates at Level Up. She’s certified in Pilates, yoga and holds a degree and certification in occupational therapy. Her favorite quote is “it is health that is real wealth, not pieces of gold and silver.”

I (owner Moon Ruiz) have spent my entire life this far, 33 years, in Glen Cove. I was born in Glen Cove hospital went through 12 years of Glen Cove public schools and my family has been here even longer before me. I’m so proud to be a product of Glen Cove and to have opened a business that represents women.
Our clientele is full of amazing powerful females we are happy to service as powerful females ourselves. My coworkers Karen, Maritza and I are all examples of women who can… and did! We continue to support other women in business as well by opening our space to them.
Women owned businesses such as @shannonssweets (a local cake decorator) and @sundaysprouts (a Long Island floral designer) have used my space to create fun workshops in which they teach their craft and further their business. We also host and run an all women’s book club from my space once a month.
We hope to continue expanding and representing women in Glen Cove highlighting their businesses and of course using their services as consumers.
