Let It Bleed’s Saturday performance gave Downtown Glen Cove what they need. Despite the last-minute concert, crowds of people rolled in to enjoy the music and dance in the streets for the last time this season.
It seemed as if blue skies turned to grey after Let It Bleed’s August 9 concert was cancelled. As the concert series progressed, the Glen Cove Downtown B.I.D. couldn’t get no satisfaction, feeling as if the concert series was incomplete. After calls and adjustments Let It Bleed was scheduled to close out Downtown Sounds with an unusual Saturday night performance.
Let It Bleed is an exciting concert production committed to the sonic recreation of The Rolling Stones’ classic and rarer gems delivered with the precise accuracy of the original recordings, complete with horns, keyboards, female backing vocals & percussion. While avoiding the usual tribute band gimmickry, the band instead draws from a vast, spot-on repertoire of over 80 songs spanning all eras of The Rolling Stones, from the early formative years to the more current classics.
The Glen Cove Downtown B.I.D. thanks Jeanine’s American Bistro for being August 31’s restaurant sponsor.
