SUMMARY:Teen Showcase: Four Teen Soloists
DESCRIPTION:The Teen Showcase will begin at 7pm before the Downtown Sounds concerts \nFour teen soloists will perform: two soloists from Center Stage Music Center\, Emma Filardo and Kendall Mathews\, a soloist from Glen Cove\, Heather Alvarado\, and a soloist from Deer Park\, Phoenix Castle. \nThe first Downtown Sounds Teen Showcase will take place this summer! The BID has revamped the Teen Idol competition into a showcase to highlight MORE local teens and their varied talents in the arts. The Teen Showcase will take place at 7 p.m. on select days. Please be sure to check our social media and website where it will be announced week to week. \nThis year’s Teen Showcase will feature song performances from cast members of local theater productions \nIf you have suggestions or interest in performing in our Teen Showcase please email us at downtownsoundsteenidol@gmail.com

DESCRIPTION:Join us for the final Downtown Sounds performance of the season! \nIn 2022 renowned keyboardist\, composer and producer Marvin Floyd revamped the Marvin Floyd Band and started an Earth\, Wind & Fire tribute band\, D’votion. \nFloyd founded Nivram Productions\, an entertainment production and recording studio in Glen Cove. In 2022 Marvin opened the New Nivram Production Studio in downtown Glen Cove. \nHe has performed with musical legends like The O’Jays\, Lou Rawls\, Freddie Scott\, and Aretha Franklin. Floyd performed with Ashanti for many years as her musical director and was presented the Millennium Tour 2021 Award of Excellence for his work with her. \nIn 2022\, Floyd received recognition for his work on the album DABABY featuring The Baby\, Megan Thee Stallion and Ashanti. \nFloyd has always welcomed the opportunity to perform locally.
