Summer in the City of Glen Cove is filled with live music. Downtown Sounds has been providing live music in downtown Glen Cove for more than 25 years. Concerts start at 7:30 p.m. in Village Square every Friday in July & August. Get ready for another summer of dancing in the streets with an incredible lineup of artists in 2025.

A five-piece band with both female and male vocalists, members of the band have both Broadway and national touring experience.
The band has rocked many stages near and far with highlights including private events for:
U.S. Congress (multiple events), White House Correspondents Dinner NBC Afterparty,
Kelley Blue Book/NY Auto Show (multiple events), NBC’s Willie Geist, Jimmy Buffett, Guy Fieri – NYC Wine and Food Festival , and Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court.
A family friendly act for ages 8-88, the musicians perform the most authentic, note-for-note recreations of the chart topping pop, new wave, and rock hits of the ’80s and ’90s.

Drummer and vocalist Mark Pohl has been honored to play opening sets for rock & roll legends ZZTop, Robert Gordon, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Southside Johnny & the Asbury Jukes, The Moving Sidewalks, Cherry Poppin’ Daddies and Lisa Marie Presley. Members Michael Schmidt and Paul Brokaw both write and produce original songs that have been licensed for film, television, and broadcast radio, and published in over 36 countries around the world.
Unforgettable Fire

U2 Tribute
Unforgettable Fire was born on New Year’s Day in 1995 as one of the very first U2 Tribute Bands to ever perform in America. After 30 years of performing at the most prestigious venues throughout the East Coast and beyond, the band has the reputation of being the preeminent U2 Tribute Show in North America.
The band strives to present a truly authentic U2 experience, both sonically and visually. In addition to performing a very impressive array of U2 material, the band does everything in their power (from wardrobe to lighting) to create the live U2 concert setting for their audience.
In 2015, U2 members The Edge and Adam Clayton crashed Unforgettable Fire’s show at The Cutting Room in New York City. They joined UF onstage for a very special surprise performance together, to the joy and surprise of the audience. Press from around the world, including Rolling Stone Magazine, reported on that very special U2 and UF performance together.
2021 brought new worldwide exposure for the band, including an episode of JEOPARDY!, in which Unforgettable Fire was featured as a question in a tribute band category. The band last performed on the Downtown Sounds stage in 2022, and is excited to return.
