On Friday, music lovers had to pack their bags and go to see Forever Ray at Downtown Sounds. The Ray Charles tribute group had people from all over hitting the road to get to Downtown.
Forever Ray has been performing to sell-out audiences throughout the New York metropolitan area. They perform everything Ray Charles from jazz and blues to country and R&B. Members of Forever Ray have performed or recorded with Ray Charles, Alicia Keys, Bruce Springsteen, Rod Stewart, Prince, Stevie Wonder and Christina Aguilera to name a few.
The Downtown Sounds concert series is every Friday night at 7:30 p.m. in Village Square. The next concert will be August 11 with a salsa music performance by Jose Trombone & Conjunto Rumbon. The Downtown B.I.D. also would like to thank Vito’s Pizzeria for being August 4’s restaurant sponsor.
